What does it mean to be 'healthy'?
Fastic puts intermittent fasting at the heart of holistic health, but what does it actually mean to be holistically healthy? It means implementing the trio of better nutrition, mindfulness and movement into your life, sure, but we, the Fastic Team, would also debate that it includes actively practicing gratitude as well.
Physical health doesn’t have a particular ‘look,’ but in most cases, it’s easily measured. Your physician can tell you if you have high blood sugar or hypertension. You feel out of breath when you’re out of shape. But how do we gauge what inner health looks like? In our eyes, when we do something good for someone else, we also do something good for ourselves. Practicing gratitude and giving thanks for what we have plays a huge role in our happiness, our peace and our mental and emotional health.
Move for Meals
Our Fastic Team has been proactive in supporting causes we care about. Mary’s Meals initiative, Move for Meals, is just that. Above all, we’re proud to be a part of a team that values giving back. We consider it our responsibility to help make the world a better place, and that’s why we’re proud to announce our participation in Move for Meals.
Throughout the month of July, Fastic is sponsoring our team and a few members of the Fastic Family to stack up the kilometers for a good cause. By running and walking, we’re raising awareness and helping to provide meals to those in need. We’re also enjoying a little healthy competition trying to be #1 amongst the other companies and individuals participating.
Mary’s Meals has set a goal for Move for Meals to provide meals for 5,500 schoolchildren. As of now, all participants have run over 18,000 kilometers. At the end of July, we’ll fulfill our pledge and hopefully win the bragging rights of having run the most kilometers!
We’re looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together with Mary’s Meals during the month of July, and hopefully in the future as well. A better world starts with all of us.
